ACENDE A LUZ EM PORTUGAL

1. Portugal é um grande desafio missionário (mais informações aqui). Para termos uma igreja acessível a todos, são necessárias pelo menos 1533 novas igrejas evangélicas distribuídas por todo o país. O quadro a seguir fornece um panorama da distribuição actual e da necessidade de igrejas em cada distrito de Portugal:

2. Para além da classificação dos distritos do ítem 1 acima, foram também identificadas 233 localidades estratégicas para a plantação de novas igrejas em Portugal. Os critérios utilizados foram:

a. 44 concelhos não-alcançados

b. 21 sedes de concelhos sem igreja (há contudo pelo menos uma igreja no concelho)

c. 168 localidades sem igrejas e que possuem escolas do 3º ciclo.

3. TOP 10

Ao combinar os ítens 1 e 2 acima, é possível identificar os TOP 10 (10 distritos mais necessitados) em termos de plantação de novas igrejas bem como as suas localidades estratégicas agrupadas em blocos prioritários (veja aqui):

Ao analisar esta situação, a AMIS, através do projecto Missão Global 2015, encoraja a todos a “acender a luz” nos diferentes distritos de Portugal, através da adopção dos mesmos e/ou dos seus blocos de localidades estratégicas, para oração e para a plantação de novas igrejas. O quadro a seguir é mais uma ilustração desta realidade:

SWITCH ON THE LIGHT IN PORTUGAL 

1. Portugal is a great missionary challenge (for more information on this – click here).  To have a church within reach of everyone, we need at least 1533 new evangelical churches throughout the country.  The following table shows an overview of the current distribution of of churches and of the needs of each district in Portugal: 

2. Apart from the classification by districts in the chart above we have also identified 233 strategic locations for planting churches in Portugal.  The following criteria were used:

a. 44 unreached ‘concelhos’ (municipal areas)

b. 21 capitals of concelhos with no church (but with at least one church in the area)

c. 168 places with a secondary school, but no church.

3. TOP 10

When we combine items 1 and 2 above, we get the TOP 10 (districts with the greatest needs) in terms of planting new churches, as well as the priority areas grouped into blocks within each district (see here):

Having analysed the situation, AMIS, through the Missão Global 2015 project, encourages everyone to switch on the light in these different districts of Portugal, by adopting a district or priority block to pray for and plant new churches there.  The following chart illustrates this reality once again:
