ACENDE A LUZ NO MUNDO
“Mas receberão poder ao descer sobre vós o Espírito Santo e serão minhas testemunhas tanto em Jerusalém, como em toda a Judeia e Samaria, e até aos lugares mais distantes do mundo.” Actos 1:8
1. O avanço missionário no mundo: Nas três últimas décadas, fomos positivamente bombardeados pela missiologia do avanço final, na qual Ralph Winter defendia uma abordagem em massa em direcção aos 13 mil povos não alcançados da terra. Movimentos mundiais como o AD 2000 propuseram “uma igreja para cada povo e o evangelho para cada pessoa até o ano 2000”. Foram listados inicialmente mais de 10 mil grupos sem uma igreja com pelo menos 100 membros. Logo depois, missiólogos como Patrick Johnstone conseguiram fragmentar o estudo, identificando menos de 4 mil etnias totalmente não alcançadas, enquanto que a World Mission International, em uma avaliação mais recente, estimou que apenas 2.134 grupos étnicos não tenham hoje uma igreja entre eles. 2. Povos não-alcançados: Que grupos de pessoas são verdadeiramente as menos atingidas de todos no nosso mundo? A finalidade para a elaboração de estatísticas e de perfis de pessoas “ethne” do nosso mundo está em realizar a nossa missão de fazer discípulos de todas as nações. Se um grupo não possui nenhum seguidor de Jesus conhecido entre eles, não tem a Bíblia numa linguagem que entendam de forma adequada e ninguém é enviado para evangelizá-los , não estarão eles entre as maiores prioridades de todos? Veja aqui a lista dos 116 povos que não possuem cristãos, Bíblia e missionários entre eles, elaborada por Ted Bergman, Wycliffe Bible Translators and Bill Morrison, Joshua Project.
3. Alvos preferenciais do “Mundo 2015″: Tendo em consideração os itens 1 e 2 acima, certamente que as igrejas e as denominações portuguesas podem ter uma participação mais efectiva no esforço missionário global, da forma que o Senhor lhes orientar. Contudo, o “Mundo 2015″ propõe 3 países prioritários que poderão ser adoptados em oração e em acção específica pelas igrejas e organizações portuguesas interessadas. Estas poderão operar de forma individual ou em parcerias para alcançar os nossos vizinhos Espanha e Marrocos e o país de lingua oficial portuguesa Timor Leste, identificados no mapa a seguir:
Informações específicas sobre estes 3 países serão fornecidas regularmente neste blog para facilitar o envolvimento missionário. Compartilha também os teus projectos ou interesse nestes 3 locais ou em outros pontos do planeta; a interacção e a sinergia são fundamentais.

SWITCH ON THE LIGHT IN THE WORLD

1. The missionary advance in the world:
In the last 3 decades we have been literally bombarded by the missiology of the final push, in which Ralph Winter spoke of a mass advance towards the world’s 13,000 unreached people groups. Worldwide movements such as AD 2000 proposed “a church for every people and the gospel for every person by the year 2000”. Initially, a list was made of over 10,000 groups without a church of at least 100 members. Soon afterwards, missiologists like Patrick Johnstone broke down this study identifying fewer than 4,000 totally unreached ethnic groups, while more recently, World Mission International has estimated today that there a mere 2,134 ethnic groups with no church in their midst. 2. Unreached people groups:
Which groups really are the least reached in our world? The reason for these statistics and painting the picture of unreached “ethne” people in the world is our mission ‘to make disciples in all nations’. If a certain group does not have a single follower of Jesus, doesn’t have the Bible in a language they understand properly and nobody is sent to them to tell them the good news, then won’t they be our greatest priority? 3.Top priorities for “World 2015″:
Taking into account points 1 & 2 above, it’s clear that Portuguese churches and denominations could play a part in the global missionary effort, with the Lord’s leading. “Mundo/World 2015″ proposes 3 top-priority countries that interested Portuguese churches and organizations could adopt in prayer and action. You could act alone or in partnership to reach our neighbours Spain and Morocco, and Portuguese speaking East Timor, as seen on the following map:
Specific information on these three countries will be regularly made available on this blog to facilitate missionary involvement. Please share your projects and interests in these places too – and in any other places around the world! Interaction and synergy are fundamental.
